Wiki, Bio, Age, Family, Siblings, Childhood & Education
Who is Irrfan Khan? Irrfan Khan was born on January 7, 1967, and his full name is Sahabzade Irfan Ali Khan. He was born in Tonk, Rajasthan, India, and died on April 29, 2020, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, at the age of 53. He was born into a Pathan ancestry Muslim family. Saeeda Begum Khan, his mother, was from Jodhpur, and Yaseen Ali Khan, his father, was from the Khajuriya village in Rajasthan’s Tonk district.
His parents owned a tire business, and he grew up in Tonk and then Jaipur. Irrfan Khan is a talented cricketer who was chosen to compete in the CK Nayudu Trophy for young players under the age of 23. In India, it is regarded as a stepping stone to first-class cricket. Irrfan, on the other hand, was unable to attend due to financial constraints. In addition, Irrfan Khan has three siblings: Salman Khan, Imran Khan, and Rukhsana Begum.
Tragically, Irrfan Khan’s 95-year-old mother died in Jaipur just four days before his death. However, due to India’s national lockdown during the global COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, Irrfan and his family were unable to attend her funeral.
The Acting Process Begins
Then, under the influence of his maternal uncle, a theatre artist in Jodhpur, Irrfan developed an interest in acting. He was introduced to well-known theatre artists in Jaipur, and he also performed on the city’s stage. Irrfan Khan also finished his MA in Jaipur before enrolling at the National School of Drama (NSD) in New Delhi. In 1984, he became a member and began studying acting.
Irrfan also worked as an air conditioner repairman in Mumbai during his early years and visited the home of his acting idol, Rajesh Khanna, in 1984. Then, in a later interview, he said:
“No one has ever experienced the level of craziness that Rajesh Khanna witnessed. He was the biggest and most genuine Bollywood star ever. Stardom, I’d say, is the sensation of being possessed by your idol; you’re so overcome with euphoria that you lose touch with reality.”
Then, in 2012, he changed the spelling of his name from “Irfan” to “Irrfan,” claiming that he preferred the sound of the extra “r” in his name. This reform, however, had little to do with numerology. According to a 2016 interview, Irrfan later dropped the “Khan” from his name because he wanted his work to describe him rather than his ancestors.

Similarly, Maqbool, Haasil, Paan Singh Tomar, Haider, Pinku, Talvar, and Salaam Bombay! are among Irrfan Khan’s impressive filmography. Religious Practices Suggestions
Irrfan Khan, unlike most Indian celebrities, was vocal about religion. Khan went after Muslim fundamentalists, including India’s Grand Imam, on Arnab Goswami’s talk show. Irrfan advocated for “personal religious exploration” and “discovering yourself, finding God” over “transactional religious contact.”
Despite strong criticism and threats of abuse, Irrfan bravely stood by his statements despite the fact that he acknowledges he is “not an expert” on the Quran and Islamic Holy Scriptures. Khan was well aware of the risks his candid remarks posed to him and his family. His wife expressed her and her family’s pride in the actor’s beliefs and comments.
Commentary on Islamic Practices that Is Controversial
Furthermore, during a 2016 event in Jaipur, India, Irrfan Khan claimed that the true sense of Qurbani (sacrifice) has been lost in today’s practices. He went on to say that buying a goat from the market and killing it two days later is not “Qurbani.” The actor also said that the core of the Islamic festival is about self-sacrifice and giving up something valuable.
“Instead of fasting during Ramzan, people should reflect on themselves. During Muharram, animals are slaughtered in the name of Qurbani. Muharram has been desecrated by Muslims. What do we do when it’s supposed to be used for mourning? Processions of taking out (tajiya).”
For his remarks, he received widespread condemnation from Islamic clerics and even the AIMPLB. People who despised the actor for his anti-Islamic comments were swift to rejoice at his death. Ali Sohrab, a so-called journalist who is known for posting objectionable and bigoted material on his Twitter profile, is one of them. Ali wrote in one of his series of Tweets that the actor who had once mocked the practice of fasting during the month of Ramzan died during the month of Ramzan as Allah’s ultimate punishment.
Many other radical Islamists, in addition to Sohrab, have mocked and celebrated the actor’s death. Many other Islamists choose this day to mock the deceased soul’s secular philosophies. “He was an atheist,” wrote Twitter user Abu Salman. Ramadan was mocked by him. We can only hope that his family receives hidaya. “There’s nothing else.”
