2018

Later that month, she competed in the 2018 U.S. Classic, where she only competed in three events but finished third on the uneven bars behind Jordan Bowers and DiCello.

McClain also competed in the 2018 U.S. National Gymnastics Championships in August. She finished fifth overall and won gold on the balance beam. As a result, she was handed the first berth on the national team.

2019

Kayla DiCello, Ciena Alipio, and Sophia Butler were also named in February to the team that will compete in Italy at the 2019 City of Jesolo Trophy. McClain was also added to the roster. 2021 Senior Elite
