Zachary William Taylor, better known as Zac Taylor, was born on the 10th of May, 1983, in Norman, Oklahoma, United States of America. This NFL coach is 39 years old and of American nationality, according to his birth date.

He is the son of Sherwood Taylor (father), and his mother’s name is currently unknown. His father was a defensive back and captain for Oklahoma and head coach Barry Switzer from 1976 to 1979.

Press Taylor, Kathryn Taylor, and Quincy Taylor were his three siblings. His brother Press is the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback coach, and his sister Kathryn is a Special Olympics swimmer.

He attended Norman High School throughout his academic career. Later, in 2002, he began his college playing career at Wake Forrest University. He transferred to Butler Community College in search of a starting job after a redshirt season and one season as a backup quarterback.

After leading the team to the NJCAA title game and earning second-team NJCAA All-American honors, he pondered returning to D-1 football. He chose the University of Nebraska and Bill Callahan as its head coach.

Taylor shattered multiple school records during the next two seasons, finishing the school with nearly all passing records for a game/season/career, some of which have since been broken. In 2012, Taylor was again named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year.

The Miami Dolphins selected Texas A&M quarterback Ryan Tannehill in the first round. Following the season, Taylor was promoted to quarterbacks coach. After Bill Lazor was sacked, he was named interim offensive coordinator for the final five games of the 2015 season.

Following his time with the Dolphins, he returned to collegiate coaching for a year. During the 2016 season, Taylor served as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.

After a single season in college, he returned to the NFL as the assistant wide receivers coach for new Rams head coach Sean McVay. The Rams won the NFC West in his first season in Los Angeles.

Taylor was promoted to quarterbacks coach the following season when the Rams finished 12-4 and lost in the Super Bowl to the New England Patriots. After two seasons in Los Angeles, he was named the next head coach of the Cincinnati Bengals. In 2021, he guided the Bengals to their first playoff victory since 1990, breaking the longest current skid in the four major North American sports, en route to the franchise’s first Super Bowl LVI appearance since 1988.
