Antawn Jamison is a former professional basketball player from the United States who spent 16 years in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Early Years
The basketball player was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, on June 12, 1976. He is of African-American origin and maintains an American nationality. The Toronto Raptors picked Jamison with the fourth overall choice in the 1998 NBA draft, and subsequently traded his rights to the Golden State Warriors for former North Carolina teammate and best buddy Vince Carter. Jamison played for the Warriors for the first five years of his NBA career. He set a career best with 51 points in back-to-back games against Seattle and the Lakers, both of which he won. In his third season in the league, he averaged a career-high 24.9 points per game.
