Beau Biden is a politician from the United States. Beau Biden is the son of Joe Biden, the 46th President of the United States of America, who took office in 2020. Who is Beau Biden? Beau Biden was born on February 3, 1969, in Wilmington, North Carolina, United States. He was born under the sign of Aquarius and died on May 30, 2015. Similarly, Joseph Robinette “Beau” Biden III is his entire name.

Joe Biden is his father’s name, and Neilia Hunter is his mother’s name. Unfortunately, his mother and 13-month-old sister Naomi died in a vehicle accident while out Christmas shopping on December 18, 1972. He was just under four years old at the time, while his younger brother Hunter was just over three. And, despite the fact that both were in the car at the time of the collision, they both survived with serious injuries.

Beau also had many shattered bones, while Hunter had a cranial injury. They were in the hospital for several months. Beau Hunter struggled from a brain tumor for the last few years of his life. After complaining of a headache, numbness, and paralysis, Beau was admitted to Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware. He had a “mild stroke” in 2010, according to officials. He was moved to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia later that month and remained for several days for observation.

Then, in August 2013, Beau Biden was diagnosed with brain cancer and admitted to the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. At the same time, a lesion was excised. He also received radiation and chemotherapy, and his cancer remained stable. He was also admitted to the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, on May 20, 2015, due to a recurrence of brain cancer. Beau died there 10 days later, unfortunately.

After graduating from law school, Beau Biden worked as a legal clerk for Judge Steven McAuliffe of the United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire. Beau worked for the US Department of Justice in Philadelphia from 1995 to 2004, first as Counsel to the Office of Policy Development and then as a federal prosecutor in the US Attorney’s Office.

He was also in Kosovo after the Kosovo War in 1999, working for the OSCE to train judges and prosecutors for the local court system. In 2004, he joined the law firm of Bifferato, Gentilotti, Biden & Balick as a partner, where he stayed for two years before being elected Attorney General of Delaware. Beau also presented his father after Joe Biden was selected for Vice President of the United States at the Democratic National Convention in 2008.

As a member of the Delaware Army National Guard, Beau Biden entered the military in 2003 and attended The JAG School at the University of Virginia. As part of the 261st Signal Brigade at Smyrna, Delaware, he also rose to the rank of Major in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps. He even traveled from Iraq to Washington, D.C. for the presidential inauguration and his father’s swearing-in as vice president in January 2009, then returned to Iraq.

After completing a year of active duty in Iraq, he returned to the United States in September 2009. He also got the Bronze Star Medal for his service in Iraq. Army Chief of Staff Raymond Odierno delivered the eulogy at his funeral after he died. Beau Biden was also awarded a posthumous Legion of Merit for his service in the Delaware National Guard, with President Barack Obama noting, “Beau Biden possessed the attributes I have seen in only the greatest leaders.”

Career in politics

In 2006, Biden ran for Attorney General of Delaware, which was his first political campaign. He received a five-percentage-point victory in the election. Following the election, he selected Richard S. Smith, a former Delaware Attorney General, and International Judge, to the position of International Judge. Gebelein has been named Chief Deputy Attorney General, and Richard G. Andrews, a former assistant US Attorney, has been named State Prosecutor. Biden also advocated and implemented stricter registration requirements for sex offenders as Attorney General.

Following his election to the vice presidency in 2008, Joe Biden stepped down from the Senate. He was, however, unable to run for office in the 2010 special election. Similarly, he pondered running for the Senate but decided against it so that he could focus on the prosecution of Earl Bradley, a convicted serial child rapist. Biden was easily re-elected to a second term as Attorney General of Delaware in 2010, defeating Independent Party of Delaware rival Doug Campbell by a wide margin.

In 2014, Beau Biden decided not to seek re-election to a third term as Attorney General. He then announced in the spring of that year that he would run for Governor of Delaware in the 2016 election to succeed term-limited Democratic Governor Jack Markell. Beau Biden would, however, succumb to cancer in 2015 at the time of this statement.

In addition, the “Beau Biden Cancer Moonshot” initiative was named after him in the 21st Century Cures Act (2016). Then, in August 2016, Joe Biden, his sister Valerie Biden Owens, and their son Hunter attended a ceremony honoring Beau’s service to Kosovo by renaming a southeastern Kosovan highway “Joseph R. ‘Beau’ Biden, III.”

In addition, Joe Biden wrote a memoir titled “Promise Me, Dad: A Year of Hope, Hardship, and Purpose” in 2017, in which he discusses Beau Biden’s sickness and death. Similarly, after former South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg endorsed Biden for the 2020 presidential race, Joe Biden highlighted Beau in a speech in 2020, comparing him to Buttigieg.
