Calvin Andre Miles Jr, better known as CJ Miles, was born on March 18, 1987, in Dallas, Texas, USA. He is currently 35 years old and a citizen of the United States. Furthermore, he was born under the sign of Pisces and is of Afro-American descent. In terms of his parentage, he is the son of Calvin Miles Sr (father) and Lanis Miles (mother) (mother). Furthermore, he has three siblings, Calvin being the eldest.

He also has one brother, Cameron Miles, and two sisters, Ashlan Miles and Andrea Miles. Cameron, his brother, is an assistant coach for the women’s basketball team at the College of Charleston. Again, his sister Ashlan is a current member of the Lamar University women’s basketball team, and his other sister, Andrea, is a Rogers State basketball player.

CJ had a strong interest in basketball from an early age. In terms of his academic background, he completed his high school diploma from Skyline High School. Later, he joined the high school basketball team and competed in a number of competitions. After graduating with honors from high school, he opted to attend the University of Texas. He eventually opted to forego his high school diploma in order to pursue a professional basketball career.

CJ Miles’s Profession & Career

CJ’s professional career began with the Utah Jazz, who signed him to a two-year contract. As a consequence, he became the Jazz’s youngest player ever. CJ was sent to the NBA Development League (D-League) Albuquerque Thunderbirds for the 2005-06 season in order to get additional basketball experience. In the 2006-07 season, he appeared in 21 games. He was sent to the D-Idaho League’s Stampede once more. He signed a contract extension with the Utah Jazz on July 25, 2008. During the 2010-11 season, he served as the Utah Jazz’s sixth man.

CJ inked a deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers on August 8, 2012. In a 111–93 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers, he established a Cavaliers franchise record with 10 three-pointers. On July 11, 2014, he signed a four-year contract extension with the Indiana Pacers. After scoring 32 points, the Pacers defeated the Washington Wizards 123-106. After joining the Pacers, this became his greatest game.

Following his time with the Indian Pacers, the young player signed a three-year contract with the Toronto Raptors, where he made his debut in 2007. In his first game with the Raptors, a 117-100 win over the Chicago Bulls, he scored 22 points. On February 7, 2017, he joined the Memphis Grizzlies alongside Jonas Valanciunas and Delon Wright.

Washington Wizards and NBA G League Ignite

He traded to the Washington Wizards on July 6, 2019, in exchange for Dwight Howard. Unfortunately, he had ligament surgery on his left wrist on December 4, 2019.
Following a full recovery, he declared his return to the Washington Wizards on January 12, 2020; however, he was sadly terminated by the team. He will join the NBA G League Ignite on December 17, 2021. On December 20, 2021, he also signed a 10-day deal with the Boston Celtics.
