Sahukar began acting in plays and participating in theater at the age of six. At the age of 14, he joined IPS Kiran Bedi’s Literacy Mission Program and took part in plays and acts presented for the detainees at Tihar Jail. During the same time period, he appeared in Salman Rushdie’s play, Haroun and the Sea of Stories, as a member of Barry John’s Red Noses Club. His first professional singing gig was at the age of 15 in the Stephen Marazzi-produced musical production Thank You for the Music. He eventually began to back Roshan Abbas.

Sahukar began his career as the host of the radio program Radio Rampage at the age of 16. In the same year, he took part in the staging and performed in Roshan Abbas’s Graffiti Postcards from School and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Starlight Express. MTV VJ (2000-2010)

Cyrus won the MTV VJ Hunt with Mini Mathur and Asif Seth, which launched his MTV career. He was the host of MTV Chill Out in 1999. In 2000, he was the spokesperson for MTV’s Fully Faltoo program.
