Ronald Glen Davis was born on January 1, 1986, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, United States of America. He is an American basketball player who most recently played for the NBA’s Los Angeles Clippers (NBA). Glen received his high school education at Louisiana State University Laboratory School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and his college education at LSU from 2004 to 2007.

Glen was 15 years old in 2001 when he attended a basketball camp on the campus of Louisiana State University hosted by LSU alumni and future Boston Celtic teammate Shaquille O’Neal. After playing collegiate basketball at LSU, Glen was the 35th overall pick in the 2007 NBA draft by the Seattle Supersonics. Later, he was transferred to the Boston Celtics, with whom he won the NBA Finals in 2008. After being rated a five-star recruit by rivals.com, he was ranked as the third best power forward in the country in 2004.

Glen was selected Southeastern Conference Player of the Year in 2006 and named to the All-SEC first team. He led the Tigers to their first four playoff berths since 1986. Glen has played for various clubs throughout his basketball career, including the Bolton Celtic from 2007 to 2011, the Orlando Magic from 2011 to 2014, the Los Angeles Clippers from 2014 to 2015, and the St. John Edge from 2018 to 2019. Glen held a press conference on March 20, 2007, to announce that he would forego his senior year at LSU and enter the 2007 NBA draft instead.

He later joined the Celtics’ 2007 summer league team and spent time as the team’s backup center during the regular season, despite his primary position as a power forward.
