Ian Michael Kinsler was born on June 22, 1982, in Tucson, Arizona, and is 39 years old. His father, Howard Kinsler, and mother, Kathy Kinsler, gave birth to him. As a result, he spent his youth with his sister, Tori Kinsler. His father mentored him until he enrolled at Canyon Del Oro High School.

As a result, he developed asthma at a very young age. After high school, he enrolled at Central Arizona College to further his studies. Ian afterward enrolled at the University of Missouri.

Ian Kinsler was picked by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the MLB draft in 2000 and 2001. He refused both times, believing he was not ready for the MLB. He also played collegiate baseball at Central Arizona College. He then transferred to the University of Missouri Tigers.

It was due to Tigers coach Tim Jamieson’s particular request. In the 2003 MLB Draft, he was selected by the Texas Rangers. It happened in the 17th round (overall: 496th). On his 21st birthday, he signed a $30,000 contract with the Texas Rangers.

He was a member of the Spokane Indians during the 2003 season. He also worked with the Rangers’ physical instructors to enhance his physical ability. He began his career with the Low-A Clinton LumberKings in 2004. Later in the season, he was promoted to Double-A Frisco RoughRiders.

He spent the winter season with the Arizona Fall League team Peoria Saguaros. Similarly, he spent the 2005 season with the Triple-A Oklahoma RedHawks. Due to the absence of Alfonso Soriano, he quickly moved from shortstop to second base.
