His funeral service was held at BMO Field on July 12, 2021. Meanwhile, Ontario Premier Doug Ford and Toronto Mayor John Tory attended his funeral. On Monday, thousands of police officers from across the country came in Toronto to bid farewell to Jeffrey, who died in the line of duty.

Following Northrup’s death, the City of Brampton designated a park in his honor on April 25, 2022. Furthermore, his colleagues and the community he served praised his passion and service. Following his passing, community solidarity was outpouring, and a vigil was organized in his honor. The Toronto Police Department also announced the creation of a memorial fund in his honor to promote community activities.
