She also began working as a chef after graduating from The French Culinary Institute (Pastry Arts) at the top of her cohort in 2004. Judy Joo then proceeded to work for Saveur magazine, where she worked in both the test kitchens and the editorial department. She also worked for Slow Food USA, where she established the organization’s first inner-city Slow Food in Schools initiative, “Harvest Time in Harlem.”
