He petitioned the Allahabad High Court in 2020, requesting that the Bhoomi Poojan, or ceremonial groundbreaking for the Ram temple in Ayodhya, be postponed owing to the Coronavirus pandemic. He objected to a 300-person meeting in one location because it contradicted the regulations of the state and federal governments on social distancing.

The Allahabad High Court later dismissed his request. Later, he appeared on a TV program to express his displeasure with the Ram Mandir’s Ayodhya construction’s groundbreaking event. According to his tweets, he began receiving phone calls from the BJP and RSS threatening his life.

In a suit filed in 2020, Saket Gokhale asked the Bombay High Court to order the Ministry of Women and Child Development to remove Rekha Sharma as its chairman. Saket claimed to be disseminating the anti-Muslim conspiracy theory known as “love jihad.”

In 2021, he wrote to the Maharashtra Home Minister, questioning how Fadnavis was able to obtain Remdesivir stock from Gujarat since the transaction was just for the government. If Devendra Fadnavis, a BJP leader and former Maharashtra chief minister, is proven guilty, he has urged that a FIR be made against him.
