Scott Oliver Hall, better known by his stage moniker Razor Ramon, was born on October 20, 1958, in St. Mary’s County, Maryland, USA. He was 63 years old and a citizen of the United States at the time of his death. Furthermore, he was a Christian with the zodiac sign of Libra. He was the son of an army officer. As a result, the family had to relocate every year. Aside from that, there is no additional information about his parents or siblings.

In terms of academics, he attended the ‘All American High school in Munich, Germany. His family subsequently went to the United States, where he got a pre-medical degree from ‘St. Mary’s College’ in Maryland. By the time he finished college, he had developed an interest in wrestling and had begun to train for it.

Death

In March 2022, he shattered his hip and had hip replacement surgery. Following the procedure, a blood clot was dislodged, and he experienced three heart attacks as a result. He died on March 14, 2022, at the age of 63, at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia.

Scott Hall’s Profession & Career

In 1984, he made his pro wrestling debut in South Carolina, and he later wrestled for NWA in CWF (Championship Wrestling Florida) (National Wrestling Alliance). In 1985, the AWA (American Wrestling Association) discovered him and signed him up for their league. He competed in the NJPW (New Japan Pro-Wrestling) league in 1987. He left AWA to join NWA in 1989, only a year before the organization went bankrupt.

In June of that year, he took part in a vignette and a house show as part of NWA’s new drive to develop new talent. In July, he made his professional wrestling debut on WCW. In 1990, he attempted but failed to partake in a WWF Wrestling Challenge. He then re-enlisted with NJPW.

Furthermore, he competed in CWA’s ‘Catch Cup 90’ competition in Germany under the alias ‘Texas Scott.’ In 1991, he was a part of the WCW’s Puerto Rico promotion. In April of that year, he returned to WCW under the alias ‘The Diamond Studd.’

In 1992, he was contracted by the WWF and began wrestling as ‘Razor Ramon,’ portraying a flamboyant Cuban bandit from Miami. Furthermore, he joined WCW in 1996 and was a founding member of the infamous ‘New World Order gang. In October 2000, he was sacked from WCW, allegedly for intoxicated conduct while on tour in Germany. Due to a neck injury, he had to withdraw from wrestling in 2000. He returned to Japan in 2001 and joined NJPW. He also competed in a few tournaments in Alabama and Florida.

He joined the WWF in 2002 on the condition that he and his pals Hulk Hogan and Kevin Nash restore the ‘New World Order.’ He also competed in a TNA event that year, which was the promotion’s inaugural pay-per-view event. In 2004, he and his friend Kevin Nash made a return to TNA. When he returned to WCW in 2007, he resurrected his Razor Ramon character. That same year, he appeared in JCW (Juggalo Championship Wrestling).

In May of 2010, he competed in Continental Championship Wrestling. Furthermore, he departed the organization in June after working for TNA infrequently for nearly eight years due to personal and legal concerns. Throughout 2011, and into 2012, he worked for independent organizations such as ‘Vintage Pro Wrestling,’ ‘I Believe in Wrestling,’ and others.

He was a member of GFW for a brief time in 2015. (Global Force Wrestling). He also performed in a WWE show named Raw that year. In 2016, he competed in televised World Association of Wrestling competitions in England. In 2019, he returned to WWE for a RAW Reunion event.

In October 1993, he won his first ‘WWE Intercontinental Championship.’ From 1993 through 1996, he was the first WWE wrestler to become a four-time ‘WWE Intercontinental Champion.’ He was the champion of the ‘WCW World War 3’ event in 1997. In 2014, he was inducted into the ‘WWE Hall of Fame’ as ‘Razor Ramon.’

He was inducted into the ‘WWE Hall of Fame’ in 2020 as a member of the New World Order organization. He held the ‘WCW United States Heavyweight Championship two times. He was a former ‘WCW Television Championship champion. He won the ‘World Tag Team Championship’ nine times, once with AWA, once with TNA, and once with WCW.
