Boss began his professional career by appearing on MTV’s “The Wade Robson Project” in 2003 and afterward on the television talent show “Star Search.” In 2007, he auditioned for Season 3 but was not chosen for the “Top Twenty.”

After a year, he auditioned for Season 4 in 2008, where he was chosen to compete in the “Top Twenty” and came second to fellow hip-hop dancer Joshua Allen. During Season 4, he collaborated with fellow candidate Katee Shean in a Mia Michaels-choreographed Contemporary work that earned him an Emmy nomination for Choreography at the 61st Primetime Emmy Awards.

In season 5, he returned to “So You Think You Can Dance” alongside Katee Shean to perform their Emmy-nominated piece “Mercy.” In addition, he was one of 11 “All-Stars” in Season 7. He was also a frequent All-Star on “So You Think You Can Dance” in Seasons 7, 8, and 9, performing numerous memorable routines, including “Outta Your Mind” alongside ballet dancer Alex Wong.
