Curry was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the second round (59th overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft. He was the Marshall player with the highest selection since Darius Watts in 2004. Vinny signed a four-year contract with the club on May 9, 2012.

His rookie campaign was uneventful; he appeared in six games but did not make a single start. He finished with a total of nine tackles. Vinny was given a bigger role in his second season and finished with 17 tackles, 5 assists, 4 sacks, and 2 pass deflections.

He enjoyed a breakout season in 2014 when he appeared in all 16 games. Despite not making a single start and only having 17 tackles and two assists, he led the team with four forced fumbles and was second on the team with nine sacks, trailing only Connor Barwin.
